Northern Territory Indigenous Business Network

The Northern Territory Indigenous Business Network (NTIBN) has been operating in the Northern Territory (NT) for over 10 years as a consortium and peak body representing NT Indigenous businesses. We are 100% Indigenous owned and are recognised as the peak and preferred certifying authority in the NT.

NTIBN is at the forefront of Aboriginal economic development, putting Aboriginal businesses in the driver’s seat of economic self-determination while unlocking the NT’s rich and grand Aboriginal estate.

We are a business growth and advocacy services provider that understands and acts with commercial principles. We are about Aboriginal business in the NT. We advocate hard for the recognition that Aboriginal business and the generation of Aboriginal wealth will be the game changer in Closing the Gap.

We provide our members with:

  • Infrastructure and program business supports – through delivery of NT’s Indigenous Business and Employment Hub.

  • Networks – through participation in key local and national events, introductions to relevant corporate and government stakeholders and key decision makers.

  • Advocacy – promoting and supporting the growth and development of Aboriginal businesses and industry.

  • Access to The Blak Business Directory – NTIBN’s sophisticated online digital platform designed to showcase our legitimate and authentic Blak businesses and Ally businesses.

Our Story

How we work together
The Hub is represented as the inner circle. The mid circle represents the national collaboration between us and the other Australian Hubs, FACCI and Supply Nation. The outer circle representing community and key stakeholders.

Our Hub and Spoke model story
The main Hub sits in the centre (located in Darwin) with outreach to the other five Territory regions – represented by five circles, Palmerston and Tiwi Islands, Big Rivers, Arnhem, Central Australia, and the Barkley. The biggest circle on the outer represents Central Australia as the anchor hub. The five lines reaching out to the regional hubs represent the five service streams. Everyone is supported through the network which is represented by three lines connecting each circle. The dots represent our members/clients.

Our Service Streams Story
Each song line represents a Hub service stream – Incubation and Start-up, Scale up, growth and sophistication, Employment services, Business Development and Women’s Business and Youth Enterprise. *Across all these streams is training and development
