Empowering Remote Communities: Kalkarindji Business Support Expo

We recently had the privilege of bringing together the Remote Business Support Expo in Kalkarindji, organised in collaboration with Gurindji Aboriginal Corporation. This event was also attended by various business service providers including NTIBN, NIAA, NTAIC, Many Rivers, DITT, and BecNT. A collaboration expo to support and empower remote community members in their business endeavours.

Remote community members often struggle with accessing on-the-ground business support services. This expo was designed to bridge that gap and provide the necessary resources and guidance.

The Gurindji Aboriginal Corporation invited us to present to their board of directors, leading to a collaborative Business Support Expo. The event aimed to Identify business support needs within the community, gauge the number of existing businesses and assist community members interested in starting their own businesses.

“We believe that your presence at the expo greatly benefited our community and helped spread awareness about business assistance and opportunities. The expo was wonderful, and the community got so much out of it”, said Quitaysha Thompson, CFC Manager of Gurindji Corporation

NTIBN presence in remote communities is vital! We are committed to continuing our presence in remote communities through similar expos and community events to provide essential business support and resources.

Stay tuned for more updates. Next stop Borroloola! 28/5/2024
